Maybe I Should tell him?

I try to do a post every day on SoJS. Today I posted, “Let someone know today how truly appreciative you are for them in your life. Let them know how they have helped you in your life.” I shared a photo of my husband, but I did not yet say why I appreciate him.

When I was growing up I always thought I would not marry. My brother and sister grew up in the Ozzie and Harriet 1950’s good times in our family. I came along during the Mad Men 1960’s years that were not so good for our family. I did not see the incentive for marriage. I did not see my parents happy.

Years later when I turned 21 and met my husband was the first time I thought … maybe I could be happily married – to him. Thirty years and two grown daughters later, I was right. I took the chance and it paid out in dividends. He is always there for me. He is my best friend. I think until he believed in me, I am not sure I did. He is one of my greatest cheerleaders. His friendship, love and support have allowed me to flourish in my life, and I just wanted to let him know.
